How incredible is that in a history rife with conflict, wars, illnesses, danger and more? Over 4000 people had to survive for you! Wow.

What a beautiful gift. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: you could have been a mosquito or a leopard or a tree or a breeze on the wind. Instead, the Cosmos deemed you worthy of human life and gave you the genetic makeup for humanity. You have a brain that is incredibly intelligent in a body that is strong, resilient and capable of amazing feats, a heart that feels deeply and a soul! A soul! What a blessing that your soul gets the vastness and diversity of being in a human body. To feel love, worry, shame, guilt, joy, elation, sadness, grief; you get the the ultimate experience on this planet. You share carbon, oxygen and nitrogen with the stars; you ARE stardust made corporeal. You are beautiful. In whatever shape, race, colour, ethnicity you are, you get to be a human and therefore you are beautiful. To be human is beautiful; plain and simple. Have you ever seen a blobfish? Be lucky you aren’t one of those!

So today, see the spark in your divinity. Feel the spark in your soul, your heart, your surroundings. Appreciate how many stars aligned to bring you Earthside. Give thanks to whatever energy exists that your 4,000 ancestors lived long enough for you to exist. Get outside. Put your hands in the air and ground your feet into the Earth and feel the power that is you! You are you for a reason. And you are here today for an even deeper reason. Enjoy time with family or friends or yourself today. Feel the spark in each person you encounter. Give grace. Find your well of compassion. Give gratitude for your life, whatever you may be facing right now. An attitude of gratitude is a huge return on the investment of being alive.
